Cllr Warwick Payne has represented Woolston ward since 2007 and is currently Chair of the Health Overview Scrutiny Panel.

Warwick lives in Woolston with his wife and daughter. A former chief reporter at the Hampshire Chronicle, he went on to co-found a public relations agency and is also a published author of several crime and espionage novels. His interests include cycling, cookery, craft beer, live music, and motorsport—including track days.

Born and raised in Southampton, Warwick stood for council because he believes the city is a good place but could be better. For him, the council is the best place to make a meaningful difference and to ensure local voices are heard in decision-making.

Warwick is proud to represent Woolston and wants to see it thrive as a safe, welcoming, and vibrant community. He values the chance to work with residents to address their concerns and shape the future of Southampton together
